Grand Opening Event for Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District 

The boxes are unpacked and the possibilities are endless! The Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District invites community members and stakeholders to an open house on June 25 to commemorate the grand opening of the new office location and get a sneak peek at the site’s future.  

Amid Burnet County’s development and population growth, Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District (CTGCD) plays a fundamental role as it manages and protects the region’s vital groundwater resources. This new property off Highway 281 in Burnet reflects that importance and expands the District’s commitment to serving current and future generations.  

What: Grand Opening & Open House for Central Texas GCD 

Where: 303 Bluebonnet Dr., Burnet, TX 78611 

When: Thursday, June 25, 2026 . Ribbon-cutting at 11:00am, come-and-go open house until 12:00pm 

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 11:00am, courtesy of the Burnet Chamber of Commerce, followed by a come-and-go open house until 12:00pm. Attendees will have the chance to meet CTGCD staff and board members, learn more about the District’s mission and services, and get an exclusive preview of the long-term vision for the property and future opportunities it will provide for the community.   

“The Board of CTGCD is excited to move into our new office facility. We have been actively searching for a suitable location that allows us to better serve the public while creating opportunities to educate people about the value of water and the importance of protecting this vital resource,” said Board President Ryan Rowney. 

Residents and landowners throughout Burnet County, government officials, local media, and other interested parties are encouraged to visit the new facility and get to know the CTGCD. This event is open to the public, and no registration is required. Call (512) 756-4900 with any questions.
